Informational Session for International Graduate Workers
International graduate workers are particularly vulnerable to unstable sources of funding, inadequate pay and unaffordable health coverage for family members and partners. Now the University is closing down the only affordable housing option for international students, causing more financial stress.
For these and many other reasons, International Graduate Workers need union protections! International Graduate Workers have the same legal rights to join unionizing efforts as our American colleagues.
Join fellow international graduate workers this Saturday, October 24th, at 3PM MT to learn all the way international graduate workers will benefit from the union at UNM.
We will be answering any questions you might have about the unionizing process and the rights of international graduate workers, as well as discussing protections for international graduate workers we want to include when negotiating the contract.
