Alicia Esquivel

Alicia is a second-year student in the Sociology PhD program at the University of New Mexico, studying food and labor. She first became involved with our union during the Fall 2023 compensation re-opener. Shortly thereafter, she became a department steward. In Spring 2024, she ran for and was elected into office as an Area steward for the College of Arts and Sciences. She sat on the bargaining team for the Spring 2024 compensation re-opener. She loves baked goods and her two cats.
