Cam Chavez Reed

Cam (they/them) is a PhD student and UGW-UNM department steward for the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS). They have been involved with our union since beginning at UNM in 2021. They are the designer of our current union logo that you see in the right-hand corner of the website. Their research primarily lies in the tectonic geomorphology of the Río Grande Rift and Southern Rockies and geoscience education. They teach the class Geology, Society, and Justice in EPS as head course instructor and developer. When not busy with grad school, they are most likely cooking, getting toasty in the sun, gardening, or somewhere in Sonoran Desert.
