Sofie Hecht

Sofie (she/they) is a graduate student in the Communications and Journalism department with a focus on Critical Intercultural Studies. With a background in relational and empathetic approaches to community storytelling and social justice, she is committed to putting pressure on administrations to get community needs met. She is excited by the great work of the union that only makes UNM a stronger, more resourced, more powerful, and safer community for its workers.
